SNSD will have a war of viewer ratings among themselves in year 2012.
After Yoona and Sooyoung, Jessica has been confirmed to appear on TV. Yuri will also star in a drama series. These four girls will appear on TV starting from the beginning of 2012.
Yoona is already shooting for the drama series, Love Rain. She plays the role of an innocent young woman back in the 70s and co-leads with actor Jang Keun Suk. Unlike other members, Yoona is expected to show professional acting because she previously appeared on various drama series including KBS 2TV’s You Are My Destiny and MBC’s Cinderella Man.
Sooyoung is known to lead in TV Joseon’s new drama series Speed that will start airing on April of 2012. Expectations are on the rise as to how she will change because she previously acted on KBS 2TV’s Unstoppable Marriage. Speed depicts the competition, friendship, and love between car racers. The shooting for the series will start from next month.
Jessica who previously acted as a musical actress, will appear on KBS 2TV’s Wild Romance that will air its first episode on January 4. There are great expectations for Jessica because she will appear on TV before other members, and also because this is her first time acting in a traditional drama.
In addition to that, Yuri will also appear on TV. She has been cast in SBS’s Fashion King that will air in March of next year.
If Yuri accepts the offer, the members of SNSD will compete against each other for viewer ratings in the beginning of year 2012. SNSD who swept across the music charts, is occupy all TV series.
