Actor Song Joong Ki is to narrate Tears of the Earth, the fourth part of MBC’s natural environment documentary series.
On December 14, a representative from MBC said, “Song Joong Ki was proposed to narrate Tears of the Earth, and he gladly accepted it.”
Every year, the series of Tears of the Earth has been narrated with great voices by top actors such as An Sung Ki, Kim Nam Gil, and Hyun Bin.
The series Tears of the Earth is a large-scaled documentary which is written and directed by production crew. Annually, it achieved 10% of viewing audience on regular basis. Tears of Amazon, a part of the series, even achieved 25% of the viewing audience.
The documentary broadcasts on December 23 at 11:05 p.m. with the prologue “Meeting the end of the Earth.” The story of ecosystem in South Pole which includes the marine ecosystem of South Pole which they have finally reached after a year of sailing and the life of emperor penguin which is known to be the hardest to reach on the Earth will be aired in your living room.
The production crew shot the series in all parts of the Antarctic Circle in the temperature of negative 60 degrees Celsius and through the blizzards that raged at 200 km per hour. As a result, they could film all kinds of penguins and albatross living in the area, a-year-long-life of emperor penguin, which is known to be the most difficult animal to catch on camera, Humpback Whale resting on South Pole, and the secret of marine ecosystem.
